Recipes in a Jar!

barline

These make wonderful gifts! Neighbors, friends, family, whomever is the lucky recipient, will really enjoy these home made gifts.

You will need some fabric, to decorate the cover/lid, a hot glue gun, and **wide mouth, 1 quart, canning jars, some ribbon or raffia to decorate the lid. Label paper, or some type of paper to make up your label, a heavier paper along with double sided tape works well also. You'll also need a funnel and plastic baggies.
**Hint** I also save decorative "store brand spagetti" jars. They work just as well as the wide mouth canning jars, and are a great way to recycle! For my home made instant flavored coffee I save the small jelly and instant bouillon jars.

Decorating and labeling the jars are all up to you! Be creative, these are home made gifts from the heart so have fun with them. I keep a couple of soups or coffees on hand, they don't last long because you'll always find an event to hand one out for! If you do have them on hand for awhile, use them yourself, they are sooo tasty!!!

If you have a favorite breading, soup, cake or cookie mix, why not layer it, jar it, and gift it!
